Web Brands Launches New AerGun® Web Store June 15, 2015 16:47
Tampa, FL - June 23, 2015 - Web Brands announced today the opening of a brand new web store to sell the AerGun X-1000 Bicycle Pump directly to consumers. Previously, the X-1000 was only available on Amazon.com. The AerGun continues to be available for purchase on Amazon.com, just as before. However, now customers have a choice and can purchase on the company’s new web store: http://shop.aergunbikepump.com.
According to company CEO, Bruce Bernstein, “While many of our customers were very happy buying on Amazon, others told us that they would rather buy directly from us. They felt that it is important to support small businesses directly, which is a concept we certainly understand and appreciate. So, we were excited to open our new store.”
He also noted that they will use Amazon to fulfill all orders placed on the new web store. “We felt that using Amazon was the best order fulfillment choice for us. It allowed us to greatly reduce the shipping charges to the customer. Amazon’s shipping rates were far lower than every other option we explored and we were happy to be able to pass those savings on to our customers.”
For those unfamiliar with the X-1000, it is a solidly constructed (steel) bicycle tire floor pump with a very advanced pump head and an easy, efficient pump action; offered at a very reasonable price. As of this writing, it is selling for $44.97 on both the new web store and on Amazon.com, but the manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price is $59.97.
Our testing revealed that the main difference between the AerGun and other pumps is the pump head. It is a heavy-duty part which easily moves between Presta and Schrader valves – with no adjustments or adapters are needed. It has a strong feel and even comes with a little ‘bleed button’ to let air out of the tire.
According to a review from a ‘Top 500’ Amazon reviewer: “Upon receiving this pump, the first thing noticed was that the pump head had some heft to it and that it didn’t feel like a cheap piece of plastic. …a pump with a solidly constructed pump head that should last a long time. This pump head is great as there is no need for an adapter to switch between valve types.”
